The
cruel part of the milk industry is that you forcefully impregnate the
goat, splitting the intimate bond between mother goat and her baby in
order to take the milk of the mother goat, selling the male goats who
end up being slaughtered, coercing the mother goat to be milked by
humans instead of letting her being milked by her baby, and usually the
killing of the goat when they don't give enough profit.
And
by consuming animal foods and owning animals one is perpetuating the
property status of animals, which enables all the animal abuse today of
the domesticated animals. As long as any individual, humans or
nonhumans, is property under the law there will be no real protection.
